Basin Harbor Club

Dave had a work retreat at Basin Harbor Club so the boys and I met him down there.

Big boys now looking so big anymore...

VT Summer

Vermont in summer means festivals with local food and folk-y music.  On Wednesday night, it was Shelburne Farms Concert Series and on Friday, it was Burger Night at Bread and Butter Farm.

Tiny Success at Waterbury Res.

Dave took the boys for swimming and fishing in Waterbury.

Chase caught a tiny fish....sort of a let down after the bounty of the ocean.

Lighthouse Beach

We decided to hit up one of our favorite spots with one of our favorite people on our second-to-last day of vacation - Lighthouse Beach with Crawford.

We had success fishing and Sammy reeled in her first catch.

 What a nice summer day!

Cinema Circus

Cinema Circus was a bit surreal but a lot of fun.  There was a make-shift "circus" followed by somewhat bizarre movie shorts.  I secretly loved the whole thing - the evening fit right into my batty world.

Sammy's Second Day

On our second day with Sammy, we showed her the beach and then took her downtown for the Library Concert.

On our way home, we stopped by Crawford's house and got to blow huge bubbles on the lawn.  It was fun to make the bubbles but it was even more fun to pop them!

A huge highlight was seeing "Mad Max" and the "Magic Carpet" sailing together through the sunset.

Sammy Arrived

During our last week in Martha's Vineyard, Sammy (and fam) came for a visit.  Our first adventure was a Seashore Discovery program at Felix Neck.

We had fun collecting shells, crabs, fish and more.  I dug up a steamer which the spider crabs promptly ate.

Clamming on Grandy's Bday

On Grandy's birthday, we decided to take the whaler for a spin.  Chase loved driving the boat to a clamming spot. He especially liked when he woke up a dozing Max by going over "big bumps!".

We had views of sailboats leaving for the regatta and fishermen finding success at the town wharf.

And, we were also very successful in clamming.  Tonight, we will have enough for a raw bar, stuffies and chowder.

Max Man!
