Baby Moses

Chase attended his first seder last night. He had a name tag (though not his own place setting) and everything.

The family that hosted the seder puts on a pageant every year that tells the story of Moses and the Pharoah. Chase played the role of Baby Moses. Here he is in his basket floating down the river, waiting to be found my Miriam and returned to his mother.

Chase wore a kippah for the first time, which looked HUGE on him, and loved the kugel!

Funny Man

Chase got a visit from his aunt and uncle this weekend. Anna helped with his bath and then put him in this little bathrobe to dry off. It was just a wee bit too short for modesty's sake.

Friends and Food

Chase's soon-to-be girlfriend came for a visit today. She was so happy and Chase was so serious.

Our new feeding routine includes half of all meals going to the dogs. I think that it was a good idea to have a couple canine vacuum cleaners on hard before we went to finger food.

JP Man

Chase likes to sport the tee from his aunt's 'hood - Jamaica Plain. He has ones in different sizes so that he can always give a shout out to his fam in Boston.

Lunch Outing

Chase and his parents and grandma went out to lunch yesterday. Chase ate broccoli. He was only allowed green foods so that if he spilled, he would not ruin his green outfit.

Little Lambs

We went with Cousin Robin to see the little lambs that were just born at Shelburne Farms. There were some pregnant sheep waiting to give birth. It was possible to see little hooves and knees poking out from deep within their bellies. I started to have terrible flashbacks of life 9 months ago. Poor sheep - they always give birth to at least 2 or 3 lambs with no option of pain meds.

Dinner, A While Back

These pictures are a bit old but I just found them today. I love how much Uncle Ben loves Little Chase!

X-Country

Hanging in da 'Boat

We took a Gurtman "family bonding" vacation to Steamboat, CO. A ski vacation is tough with a couple of babies in tow. Chase did take the gondola to the top of the mountain with his Papa and met us for lunch.

FUN with Cousin Robin

Chase and Robin got together prior to our trip to Oregon, but I am just posting these photos now. They are so cute together! They both have two teeth (actually, Chase only has one-and-a-half) and they both have a giraffe named Sophie. They are like dopplegangers.

TIme to Go!

We traveled back to Boston last night. Chase was just another piece of roller luggage. On the plane, he was so good! No crying, thank goodness. It is so sad to see the terrified looks on passengers' faces when we board with a 7 month-old. He made us proud....maybe because he has Cousin Jesse's finger puppets to keep him entertained.

Chillin' in PDX

We had such a great time and Chase seemed to dig all the restaurants and outings. Chase was so well-behaved at restaurants and, as a reward, he got to try quesadillas and fresh bread off the dinner table. He sucked on a glass at EaT Oyster Bar and browsed books with his dad at Powell's.

He met his other Auntie Sara and looked like a very big man in her arms.

And, he chilled out like the small man that he is in Poppy's lap.
