Ridin' Rody

Max enjoyed his time in the house this weekend - despite being commando-style.

Honey Hole

Chase and Dave went fishing this morning with our friend, Mike.  Chase caught a little trout and Mike caught a LARGE pike.

Chase says: "I caught a fish all by myself.  I liked it - catching it.  I like Mike's fish.  Max's potty training is good.  Oh, I have to go potty right now"  and, he jumped off my lap...

Update on Max: no accidents all day and two #2's on the potty today.  Super happy to almost be a diaper-free family!

Treasure Hunt

Chase had some solo adventures this weekend because Max has been home potty-training (doing really, really well!).  Chase's first adventure was to Robin's house to see the ancient treasure map his dad had found.

The guys set off, aided on their way by a map and arrows.

They dug and dug but that treasure proved to be tricky!  It was stuck deep in the dirt.

On the way home, Lou shared the backseat with Chase because there was extra room back there.  Both were happy for the special day.

Misery Loves Company

We picked up Uncle Po and followed the Misery Loves Company food truck to the Citizen Cider taproom.  Delicious food and tasty hard cider goes really well together.

Chase mainly went for the french fries but Max liked it all!

Mr. Cute

Chase has been cute lately.  The other day, I woke up in bed and looked over at the view below.  Chase had independently drawn a picture, found a lot of tape, and stuck it on the wall by my bed because "it was so beautiful."

Thurs-daze

We spent Thursday day morning at Penny Cluse for breakfast (see above) and at Dave's office for a visit (see below).  This was between drs appts and glasses shopping.  Highlights - Max is still in the 5th %ile for weight and the 80th %ile for height and I have a new pair of frames!

Raf for Music

Both the boys were happy to see Raf back at Kidstown/city.  In fact, they were a bit mesmerized by the music.

Beach Time

After spending so much time at the beach in Martha's Vineyard, we were happy to get back to the ocean in Maine.  Max loved the view and Chase loved playing with a little fairy house in the sand.

Grandy and Whim just loved each other.

And, Fishing, Of Course

We also went fishing in Maine.  First, we dug up our own worms to use as bait.

Max took care of the squiggly things while Chase and Ken practiced their casts.

When the river and pond didn't cut it, we moved to the ocean to try for some striped bass.  Still no luck, but it was a lot of fun.

Lobsta

We headed to Maine for my cousin, Jesse's, wedding.  It was such a great time - so relaxed and understated.  Dave and I remarked on how keeping things simple and focusing on fun make for the best parties.  I wish I had that insight when we planned our wedding, almost 8 years ago!  We got to eat lobster twice while in Maine - once for the rehearsal dinner and once at our friends, the Kingsleys', house.  Chase loved getting to work to find the meat.
