Chase meets his Cousin

Chase hung with his cousin today in Charlotte. I am not sure how much they liked each other. But, I am pretty sure that, judging by his reactions, Robin found Chase's crying annoying.

Chase had so much fun when Emily and Alanna came. They held him and gave him lots of attention and gave Kathy a chance to regain some sanity. He especially liked watching Alanna swim at the Hippie Hole cause he is a Lady's Man.

Squeeker

This weekend

Chase was tired after his big weekend.

For the first time, he took a bath in his wash pod. He seemed to like it after we got the water depth correct. At first, it was a bit to deep and scary. He was so relaxed that he pooped in his towel afterward.

He loved meeting his Aunt and Uncle and cannot wait for his little cousin to be born in November!

male bonding

Chase had a big weekend with friends and family. His Uncle Scott and Aunt Steph visited from NJ and he had a bunch of people come up from Burlington. He especially liked his bonding time with Po,

And with his daddy,

And with his uncle Scott.

And, he remembered last weekend when he hung with his Uncle Jon.

Who looks more unhappy to be posing together: Chase or Louie? The poor dogs are not exactly excited by the new addition. At first, they kept their distance; now they come closer to watch disdainfully as Chase cries.

Chase is sporting his new sweater from Cousin Adair. It is so cold in VT that he needs an alpaca sweater to keep him warm. See how this outfit emphasizes his svelte legs.

Dave and his boy

Chase and Dave took a snooze after dinner. They are both tired from being up all night every night. Chase seems to have gotten down a 2-3 hour nursing cycle but it is still hard to sleep even after he has gone down. He often insists on sleeping in our bed which can be disconcerting.

Its too early for a real smile so I guess this is just gas. But, it is pretty cute anyway.

New faces in Chase's life

Chase has a friend to help him through late night diaper changes. Check out that fat belly. He now weighs 7lbs 9 ozs and is getting a full-on double chin.

It was fun to have Aunt Anna and Uncle Jon visit. Chase chose to sleep and nurse his way through the weekend.

Chase met up with other little men from his prenatal yoga class. He sends a big shout out to Brady, Jesse and Robin!

Bathing

No more smelly baby!
Chase loves his Poppy. Notice that he is also a monkey wrangler.

Rise and Shine like a Dutch Baby

Aunt Anna and Uncle Jon came to visit and Chase got to smell his first dutch baby. Yummy!

Cruising the streets

Chase was lucky enough to have Laura L at his side while dining at the Blue Moon in Burlington. She snapped this shot of him shortly after he finished his lunch with the two ladies. Yesterday he also survived his first thunderstorm and made his second trip to the Intervale to pick up our farm share. Way to go Chase!

Nesting our way into a new house

Since we can't just keep posting cute pictures of Chase, I thought it appropriate to celebrate another big milestone . . . demo has begun on our new house. As many of you know, we nested ourselves right out of a house and have signed up for quite a construction project. See the "before" pictures posted here. Yes, that is pumpkin shag carpet and matching drapes, can't get that anymore. Also note the pink toilet seat cover and matching trim, almost as cute as Chase. Luckily we are in very capable hands with our builder, Jeremy O'Neill of O'Neill Green Builders. Check him out at http://www.gogreenoneill.com.

Sunset before the pushing began

An auspicious night for entry into the world.

Lucky to have Sandy

Kathy's Mom arrived just in time and kept giving the rest of the family live updates. Also, check out that view.

Happy Mom to Be

Kathy with her "other" birth partner. Lou-dog was there in spirit.

Entering FAHC for induction

A storm was brewing for our arrival on Tuesday afternoon. Luckily we had corner pocket, rm 6, with sweeping views of the lake and the mtns.
