Airport Hanging

In the video, Max does not quite get the game (which was to run back and forth making the automatic doors open and close).  Poor lost one-year-old trying to keep up with the big kids!

We spent some time at the airport this morning.  It was just a fun place to hang - watching planes, running through skywalks, playing on ramps and eating in the observation restaurant.

Chase and Max could have watched the plans forever and the view only got better when we walked to the top of the observation tower.

Then, Sammy and Lydia and their moms came to meet us.  Life could not have gotten much better for Chase this morning.

Bread Baking

Chase and I decided to make some bread.  We were inspired by a super easy recipe on our friend's blog.  We started by baking plain whole wheat bread but we already have a raisin cinnamon loaf on the rise.

This is dinner, along with kale chips, sweet potatoes and roasted chicken.  YUMMY!

Springtime

Its spring time in Vermont!  Chase is making his "excited face".

We've been going for nice walks around the 'hood.

And, taking wagon trips to run errands.

Lemonade

I spent some time in Chase's classroom last week, while my school was on break.  On Thursday, we made lemonade!

First, we squeezed juice from lemons using a juicer.

Then, we added simple syrup and lots of water.

It was pretty delicious!
And, it was super cute to watch Chase interact with all his little friends.  I cannot wait for the summer when I can come in a lot to teach mini-lessons.

Lawn Care

Max and Chase helped out with some lawn care this weekend.

Max worked on his specialty - digging in dirt and eating rocks.

Chase worked on helping Dave assemble the new lawnmower.

Louie just ate sticks.

Here is the promotional video that Chase and I made for our new lawnmower when we were trying to "sell" it to Dave:

Photo-Friendly Max

Now that Chase hates the camera, it seems that all my pics are of Max. Here he is at the playground outside the ice arena. I had a hockey tournament this weekend so the boys spent a lot of time hanging around Cairns.

Max also enjoyed some Uncle Po time!

Brown Bears' Art Show

We went to Chase's class's Art Show last Thursday. They made art using body parts other than hands.

Max spotted his brother's painting.

Here is Chase's feet painting.

I think that there was an expectation that we would buy this "work of art" as a fundraiser, but we left for a bowling outing just in time to avoid that one!

Parade

When we met up with Robin and Mariana on Church Street, we had no idea that we were in for a surprise parade.

There was a motorcycle...

a police car...

a monster truck...

some cheerleaders...

and a human-sized cat.

We still have no idea what the parade was celebrating.
