Sunday Morning Bike Ride

This morning we set out early for a bike ride - our destination was the Radio Bean to listen to live music while eating brunch.  We stopped off at a playground on the way.

We also explored the beach at the Waterfront Park.  That's me and Max sitting on the bench in the distance.

Then, we got to Radio Bean.  We ordered a ton of food to sustain our energy for the bike ride back home.

Chase took over the camera to take the next few pictures.  He really was intent on getting some photos of the band.

Uncle Po met us at the end to eat up our leftovers.  Then, it was home to nap.

Big Trucks

We took Chase and Max to Big Truck Day on Saturday (after crashing the Farmers' Market).  Burlington is really getting that manic "the-weather-is-finally-nice" feel.

Recently I read an article about what boys need from their mothers.  One line has stuck with me.... that scientists have discovered that “for every hour of television watched per day, the incidence of ADD and ADHD increased by 10 percent."  Our boys are not TV watchers anyway (Max isn't allowed any at all), but now I'm doubly motivated to keep these guys active!

Burger Night

Summer is (almost) here which means the Burger Nights have re-started up at the Bread and Butter Farm!  On Friday, we headed over with Jess and Maeve.  Chase dragged Jess into the field to play some baseball with him before dinner.

Max ate rocks and just chilled till Dave showed up.  He rode his bike out to meet us at the farm (hence the sweaty look).

We ran into Livi and Audrey.  Lovely Livi made sure to give hugs to both the boys.

And, Chase and Audrey danced together while they listened to some live folk music.

The night didn't end there.  Dave and I met up with our baby-sitter at the house and then left again for a Levon Helm Tribute.  What great music at Higher Ground!

Good Day

On Thursday, I woke up to fresh baked scones, courtesy of Dave and Max.  What a way to start the day!

We ended with one of our favorite activities - an evening stroll on Church Street.  The boys and I met Dave for dinner.  There is a new bear exhibit up and Chase just had to pose with the "Fishing Bear" at Town Hall.

Delicious Spring Dinner

Our dinner this week was so delicious that I felt like I should document our eating pleasure.

We had fresh bread that we baked in our dutch oven.

And we ate delicious steak tips from Shelburne Meat Market.  For dessert, we picked rhubarb from our garden to make a strawberry-rhubarb crumble.  Chase and Dave topped it off with home-made whipped cream.  YUM!

Doce de Mayo

Grandy baby-sat for us last Saturday so that we could go to an over night party at a friends' house.

The food was amazing!

There were tacos and enchiladas and nachos and margaritas.

Po and I posed for a late-night photo shoot.

Chase did not seem to mind that we were gone but he was definitely happy to get a carrot cake cupcake as a treat when we returned.

Kids Day Parade

Chase and I biked downtown so that we could join the Kids' Day Parade last Saturday.  It was a long walk but sort of fun.  Chase was so psyched to be in a parade after watching one in Boston the weekend before.

Morning Duty

These are pics that Dave took one morning of the boys.  Dave has morning duty - poor man - but generally the little men are in pretty good moods first thing of the day.

Wagon Rides

We've also been taking the wagon around the 'hood, everyday everywhere.  We were on out way to the neighbors' for dinner when we got side-tracked by an excavator.
