Evo-Mamas

Yesterday, we went for the collective first birthday party of the Evo-mama babies. It was fun to see so many one-year-olds!

Harvest Festival

I always seem to forget to take pics in the best opportunities. So, this is all we have from the Shelburne Farms Harvest Festival.

Chase was totally entranced by the slightly awkward, pre-pubescent, musical rendition of the Velveteen Rabbit. That, and the apple core leftover of my caramel apple, were the highlights of his day.

Giveaways

We have been accepting all the neighborhood giveaway kid stuff. Recently, we got this picnic table and Chase now chooses to eat his afternoon snack outside. And, we got two slides (one is a indoor basement slide). Chase mastered going up and down by himself.

Weekend Weather

It has been a beautiful weekend in VT. We are not quite sure if we are ready for the impending winter, though.

Yes, our baby scavenges food off the floor...what is wrong with that?

Here is Chase caught red-handed messing with things he is not supposed to be messing with. You can tell by his face that he knows he should not go into that drawer....but he does it anyway.

Looks like we gave Chase too much Vodka with his breakfast.

No hands!

Chase's girlfriend, Livi, came over last night. He tried to show off by jumping on the trampoline without holding on and look what happened...

Neighbors

We live next door to two of the cutest kids. They have totally taken Chase under their wing and have tried to teach him everything from baseball to bike-riding.

First Haircut

When our neighbor, Kristen, came over I asked her to give Chase his first haircut. I have been really resisting cutting his baby hair but he has been growing wings lately. Kristen has two girls so I figured she knows what she is doing.

Present for Papa

Steph left us some finger paints so we decided to give painting a try this afternoon. We figured that since Chase has been painting since he was 4months old at school, he should be a pro. Besides, the teachers have 6 kids painting at one time. We had no idea how messy the process was going to be. Our end goal was to create a present for Chase's Papa's 60th b-day. Not sure if we came up with anything good...

Playing with Steph

Yesterday, Dave and I went on a "day date" so that we could take the dogs hiking - something that have not really been able to do in 14 months. Chase stayed home with his baby-sitter, Steph, and she captured these cute shots. He sure seemed happy that we were gone!

In the afternoon, little man Gray stopped over to show how much he is growing.

Robin: Grown Up

It is fun to play with Cousin Robin now that both the boys are all grown up. But, it sure is hard to get pics of both of them when they are both on the move.

Apple Pickin'

Chase went back to Shelburne Orchards for some apple and peach picking today. It is crazy to think that this is his second trip in a second season of apple picking. He does not remember the first visit though....

Chase picked his very own apple and placed it nicely in the bag to take home with us.

Pedro came to visit from NYC and gave Chase a free ride whenever his little legs got tired from walking in the tall grass.

Dinner Party

Chase had Audrey over to eat at his new picnic table. It was lots of fun to share a meal of salmon, berries, and cheese.
