Berry Picking

After our hike, we visited Adam's Berry Farm where we picked mountains of blueberries.

Above, Dave is working hard picking while Chase is feeding blueberries to Louie as fast as he can shove them in Lou's mouth.

VT love

Everyone was happy about the idea of taking a hike down at the Intervale this morning. The Intervale is one of the reasons why we love living in Burlington. Not only is it the CSA where we get our veggies, but there are great hiking trails, a river for pups to jump in and all sorts of organic gardens.

Chase got out of the Ergo to walk for about a mile through the thicket.

But, he seemed to get distracted by his stick collecting so that mile took a seriously long time!

Louie was happy and Cy strategically placed a burr on his eye so we'd give him some attention and take his picture, at last.

Saturdaze

Chase filled up a pool and tested out the sprinkle in preparation for an afternap water romp with Livi, Audrey, Robin and Lydia.

But, the mega amount of bubbles proved to be even more exciting than the water toys - except, maybe, for when we were running water down the slide and the kids shot off the end at 25 mph, or maybe that was just entertaining for the parents.

Watermelon to cap off the perfect day!

Pizza-making

Who needs toys, or even dogs, when you've got a brother around for entertainment - especially on 95 degree days when everyone is sticky and naked and getting kooky!

Farm Fests

In the summer, it seems that every farm in VT opens for a weekly food & music night. On Thursday, we went to "Summervale" with Sammie and family. Vanessa gave Chase his first ice cream cone. He could not believe his luck. On Friday, we listened to music and ate burgers at the Bread and Butter Farm; but, they did not serve ice cream so no good pics.

Baby Max is just happy as long as someone is holding him and paying him a bit of attention.

Stars

My mom's friend bought Chase and Max these cute bibs! It sure was hard to get them to pose together.

Thanks, Mrs. Popper!

Last Night

Our last evening on Martha's Vineyard included beach time with Crawford and then lobster rolls with the family.

We enjoyed the view of the lighthouse while we ate. We were so sad to leave, both MV and our family. Chase has not stopped asking, "where'd Grandy (or Anna or Jon) go?".

Chase got a new bed! Since he is a potty-trained, crib-climbing, abc-singing two-year-old now, we thought we should treat him like one! Yay for a toddler bed!

Generations Picnic

We went to a fundraiser for the Preservation Trust in MV. As my friend describe, it was like a wedding for kids. Lots of entertainment (including magic show above) and good food.

After Chase peed on the oldest house in Edgartown, he and Max posed for some pics in the grass.

The highlight was ball games with Crawford, a Burlington and MV friend!
