Chase has been so looking forward to Easter ever since his school directors started decorating the building with eggs shortly after Valentine's Day. He was pumped about egg-hunting.
And proud to show off his loot. Poor Max did not stand a chance.
I stuffed eggs with things like these magical sponge creatures so that the emphasis of the day was not on candy. Mostly, he did not care what was inside the eggs - it was the hunt that mattered.
