Dave tried out my new Christmas/Hanukkah present: a waterproof camera. Grandy baby-sat the boys while Anna, Jon, Dave and I checked out the coral reef.
Chase woke up to open presents that Santa had left under our decorated Christmas Palm Tree. Then, we went to a playground and the beach. What a perfect way to spend Christmas.
Both boys did really well in the plane, especially since we left our house at 4:30 am, but were still relieved when we made it to Turks & Caicos on Christmas Eve. Our first mission was to get to a beach restaurant called, "Somewhere on the Beach". Fish tacos and mojitos....perfect!
One of Chase's favorite presents was this set of indoor hockey equipment. Judging by the video below, we might have to invest in some knee guards. Chase also LOVED some crazy blocks Poppy got Baby Max. He is going to be sad when he realizes that the every-night-presents are about to end.
Right after the Bramble Ramble, I took Chase to the doctor who diagnosed him with a perforated eardrum due to a seriously bad ear infection. So, Bramble must have been pretty entertaining to keep this sick boy happy.
Chase and I went to the Bramble Ramble yesterday. Bramble is a woodland elf that takes care of the plants in animals in our forests. S/he needs help from girls and boys during the solstice because, with the shortened days, s/he cannot get all his/her work done.
I could not make it to Chase's holiday concert this year so Steph took Maeve and Max and met Dave there. I heard that Chase's class performed a smashing rendition of Jingle Bells.
When Vanessa and Dave suggested celebrating Hanukkah early this year, we were all about it since we will be traveling during the bulk of the holiday this year. We want to get a full eight days in so that the boys can get all their presents! It was also an easy decision because it means more family dinners with our neighbors.
Chase and Max have such different personalities - but both are very silly. Chase even tries to make "jokes" lately, though he is the only one who gets them....
