Love!

I love this video! I recorded it right after we left Jon and Anna at the Shelburne Vineyard. He had been saying, "Bye-bye, Jon. Bye-bye, Naya" for the whole car ride. At the time, I did not understand Chase's initial sentence but it clearly is, "Love you Jon and Naya (Anna)". When I ask him to repeat, he says, "I love you, Naya." I love you has been his newest and cutest sentence! I love to hear it unsolicited.

Traveling Men!

We just booked our first trip as a family of four! Chase and Max sat patiently for their passport pictures.

It is hard to believe that these photos will be good for five years! Imagine how Max will change in five weeks or five months!

Poppy and Max took a snooze while we waited for all the paperwork to be processed. Now, let's just hope that the passports arrive before we travel in just six weeks!

Wagon Ride

Poppy brought Chase and Max up a two seater wagon. It is pretty cool. Since Max is too small, we invited Audrey for our first spin around the 'hood.

First Bottle

Anna gave Max his first bottle today. She was also the one to introduce Chase to his bottle when he was a little baby. Max seemed to do okay but I think he would've preferred to drink right from the source.

Just a picture or two to show that we still have dogs. I keep saying that Louie moved down on the totem pole but Cyrus fell right off. Anyone want a dog for a couple of months?

Mwa!

Aska and Chase got dressed up to spend some special time together on Saturday night. By the end of the night, things had degenerated quite a bit...

Serenade

Max went to his first music lesson on Monday. Raf was impressed because Max was his youngest listener so he sang to him directly. Max slept through it.

Sugar on Snow

Chase visited his first Sugar Shack today. He was super interested in the sugaring process and would not turn toward the camera even when Papa was pulling on his fingers.

But, it was even more exciting to get to taste the sap after it had been turned to syrup! More?

Then, we went to the Farm Barn for the 4H Pancake Breakfast.

Everyone had fun though you might not know it by the way Max zonked out through the whole thing and the way that Chase made mean faces on the way home. Good thing we made it home in time for nap!

Photo Shoot

Max had a photo shoot today to see if we could get a birth announcement pic. Above is one of the rejects. Chase's photo shoot was going okay until he decided to choose an unconventional hat.

Our new friend, Laurel, who is creating art work for Max's room came over with the first two prints. So, she got in on the photo shoot action.

First Bath

Max did not start enjoying his first bath until I stuck my finger in his mouth. After that, it was smooth sailing. I love when they are small enough to bathe in the sink. It makes clean up and everything else so easy!

RODY!

Chase has realized that, with his mother's being more distracted, he can get into more off-limit stuff - like cell phones. There are some perks to having a new baby in the house.

Another BIG perk is that everyone keeps bringing Chase presents. Anna and Jon brought him Rody. Yay!

Ice Cream Love

Aunt Anna and Uncle Jon came to meet baby Max. But, they did not forget about Chase. They made a special outing to Ben & Jerry's to celebrate Chase's new role as Big Brother. Chase has never had more than a couple of tastes of ice cream before so this treat really blew his mind!

The ice cream was so cold! Chase almost looks tortured eating it. But, he loved every bite. By the time that he got to the end, he had shivers (like in the video below).
