Love Affair

Turns out, Matt and Chase have had quite a love affair. Who knew Matt would be such a natural? He pushed Chase in a stroller, gave him a new shirt, fed him lunch, wore him in a front-pack, and generally loved him lots....but he does not change diapers.

Substitutes

Because our beloved baby-sitter is away, we had to settle on leaving Chase with some buddies while we went out for Monday Night Date Nite (couldn't skip that). It went much better than expected...though we still really miss Aska. - Aska, if you are reading this, come back!!

Here Chase is trying pears for the first time in his whole life. He likes them, which brings his total count of foods eaten to a whopping 5!

Come Home

We have a great baby-sitter who comes once a week so that Dave and I can have some adult alone time. We all miss her while she is home for the holidays. It is hard to say who misses her most.

Appearances

Chase made an appearance among some of his followers. Everyone seemed happy to see the little man...except he's definitely louder and crankier off he blog and in person.

Going to NJ

Last Wednesday, we were headed to NJ to celebrate Chase's first Christmas with my mom. Right before we left, the furnace broke so we were delayed an hour or so. After that commotion, I was unsure how Chase would handle the long drive late at night. Here I am whispering promises of sweet milk if he just behaves for the next six hours....Here he is telling me to go stuff it, because he knows he would get the milk either way....

MILK (NOW) PLEASE!!

The next morning, Chase got bundled and ready to go into the NJ snowstorm of a century.

Waiting for Lunch

We are trying to teach Chase patience at the lunch table. He likes to scream to demand his food. See him practicing patience in the pics below. He looks so little sitting at that big table.

Hold on - Chase wants to type something, " k 7 8 mm nbyh mn7h mng7h ghvtt ". I think that translates to, "just feed me, you dumb jerk."
