Bomber

One of Dave's relatives gave us this great bomber jacket. It was very appropriate for hip Portland.

We brought Chase to "swim" at the Kennedy School per Auntie Sara's suggestion. It was great. We had cool raindrops falling on our heads as we relaxed in warm water. Chase loves swimming!

Post-soak, Chase enjoyed some puffs while the rest of us had beer and tater tots. Thank you Kennedy School!

What Ear Infection?

Chase and I left Monday afternoon for Boston where we spent the night with Aunt Anna and Uncle Jon before flying out for Portland (Dave met us the next day). On Monday morning, I brought Chase to the doctor for a flu booster shot. I complained that he had been cranky all weekend. The doctor reported that Chase still had the ear infection from three weeks prior. Poor guy! I was worried about flying, but Tylenol with codeine did wonders for both of us!

Back in Action

So, Dave fixed the video problem and I guess I will start uploading again. We just got back from Portland so I have a lot of pics to share. It is sad that we have no shots of all the great friends that we saw, or the meals that we ate, or the places we visited. Every picture is of Chase's face. He could have been anywhere.

Before we left, Dave and Chase played "airplane rides" in this cool cardboard box. FUN!

Chase got all dudded up in order to impress all the new (old) friends he was going to meet.

Growing Up Off the Blog

So, I have not posted lately because I am mad at blogster. None of our videos seem to work anymore. Could I have exceeded our bandwidth? But, I felt that it was unfair to punish Chase's public so here are some of the most recent updates...

Chase claps....
Grandma visits....

Chase laughs.....
Chase eats whole foods, like whole banana and whole egg yolk....

Sick Days are FUN!

Chase spent some of his sick day with his daddy in the morning, with his baby-sitter Aska at lunchtime (she's the photographer) and with his mommy in the afternoon. He's going to start faking illnesses to get this kind of one-on-one special attention.

Dogs are fun too.

"Standing"

After we spend so much time trying to make Chase laugh, he can put us into hysterics so easily.

Trouble Ahead

I let Chase try potatoes tonight. Afterward, he gave me this look like, "what's next?". You would never tell by the double chin below, but Chase actually lost 1/2 lb this week with his illnesses.

It was not till I saw Chase crawling up the walls that I realized I had forgotten to put on a new diaper. Considering his ability to stand up longer and longer, I think that we are heading for trouble. It is almost time to lower that crib mattress.
