SoYo!

We went on a post-nap jaunt to the new frozen yogurt place that opened in our 'hood.  We are so glad to have another delicious place to visit on Pine Street.

On our way home, we stopped to burn some energy at the elementary school playground.  Lydia, Sammy, Chase and Max had a blast - but I think that Grandy enjoyed playing on the structure the most.

Postcard Joy

Chase got a postcard from Anna in the mail.  He loved the picture of the cat and the funny message inside.  He has become obsessed with checking the mail lately.

Lillies

Chase decided to pick the daylillies from our garden to wear as hairpieces.  Not exactly my idea of the best way to treat perennials.

Kayaking Burton

The morning after our camping out, the birthday boy and I went kayaking around the island.  We topped off the morning with a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich.  Thanks Grandy, for a great night away!

Best Birthday Ever!

I brought Dave to Burton Island for his birthday and it was the best birthday EVER!  We had the best time camping...without kids!
First, we took the ferry to a no-car island.

Then, we hiked around the island.

Next, we had a delicious dinner and relaxing time by the fire.  The best thing about being parents is the fact the medela breast milk freezer pack is perfect as a beer cooler.

 Stuffed clams!

Two slightly crazy, very silly boys.

5th of July

Last night, we headed to BTC for a Gurt/Ber-man family picnic.  Max loved riding on Sammy's shoulders (when he wasn't busy jumping into the pool, stuffing his face with dinner, or sliding down slides).
